I am an American currently working for an NGO in Geneva, Switzerland. I taught English and studied Chinese for over a year and a half in Tianjin, China and have the opportunity to go back to China this summer for a temporary job. To prepare for the trip, I would like to brush up on my Chinese skills, focusing on speaking, listening and some reading.
I am looking for a teacher who is patient and enjoys discussing a variety of topics. I prefer that the teacher speak only Chinese with me to get a full immersion experience. I am available T, W or Th evenings.

Greetings,
I am about to enter my 3rd year in the University of Toronto (Mississauga campus) pursuing a B.A. Honours in Economics and Political Sciences.My proficiency level in all the languages I want to learn is that of a beginner. I don't possess adequate knowsledge in either French, Spanish or Mandarin and would like to learn these languages.
I want to develop my multilingual skills for my career advancement and I desire to be more competitive with these skills in the global arena.
I believe I will be needing full help in all fields including grammar, conversation etc.
Owing to my summer courses in university I would love to devote about 2-4 hours a week .
I would expect my teacher to be really friendly and proficient with their language and a person who can help me clear all my doubts in the particular language.

I’m 25, male residing just north of Aberdeen, Scotland. Although being Chinese, my native language is English. I can speak hakka Chinese fluently and cantonese to an intermediate level, however I lack the ability to read or write any form of Chinese.
M y proficiency level in mandarin is beginner, I have attempted to self-teach myself mandarin from books and CD’s in the past with no success or gain. My reasons for learning mandarin are for communication and business related in the near future. My preferred area of concentration when learning mandarin would be conversationa l, in addition an introduction and some lessons on writing technique for Chinese characters would also benefit.
D ue to working 6 days a week, I can only take live in person lessons at any time on Tuesdays only. The time and amount of hours for live in person lessons would be best if the teacher decides (to fit in with their own schedule). I will spend a minimum of 12 hours per week learning at home after work on other days.
Qual ities that I’m looking for in a teacher are that he/she must be a native speaker of mandarin and have some understanding on spoken English.

Hello I wish to learn Korean because I am a Korean adoptee, and it would help me learn a little more about my culture, and heritage. I am only interested in private tutors, but if you believe that your class is right for me contact me anyways. I am a fairly quick learner, and have many Korean friends helping me. I would like to be tutored a least once a week for an hour or more, with homework to do over the time I am not with the tutor. I want to be taught by a native of either gender, perferably female.
