I am 21 year old university student graduating at the end of 2008.
Reco gnising the importance of China in the world economy, I want to learn Mandarin as a personal wish, as well as to separate myself from other graduates.
I would like to learn in a small group with lessons occurring once or twice a week as I will still be studying at uni until the end of the year.
I am looking for an organised teacher who will be able to teach effectively and efficiently.

I have studied Mandarin for over a year, however have not had a class in 4-5months. My proficiency level was in the intermediate level, however I am sure it has deteriorated slightly since then.
I am learning mandarin so that when I graduate university I will have an edge over my fellow grad in getting a job, as well international business is a area of interest for me and I feel as if China represents a huge opportunity. In August I am also going to China for the Olympics and would like to brush up so that I am at least communicate on a basic level while I am there.
I would like a main focus of any lesson to be verbal understanding , ie, I feel one of my weaknesses is my ability to understand mandarin when it is spoken to me, other areas I am better at but would still like help.
Curr ently I would want to dedicate 1-2, 1-1.5 hour session per week, ideally a private lesson, but am open to a group setting.
