Hi. The reason i want to learn Thai is i travel to Thailand alot for holidays and have done for many years and i try to learn new frases every time i go allthough i would still class myself as a beginner. I am not that bothered at the moment about learning grammar but i would like to improve my conversation skills.
As for time allocation that depends on the skill level that a teacher would think i am at and the level that they think i am capable of reaching.
I would like my teacher to be native Thai so they could pass on cultual knowledge aswell as language skills.

i want to learn pashto as i am joining the army and will be going to afghanisatn in the future. i plan to get an idea of the language first, before doing a course through the military. i have studied afrikaans, zulu and german so i am capable of a crash course.

I hope to learn Arabic as the Middle East is an area of the world I would like to visit and maybe even work in one day.
I am an absolute beginner but, ideally, I aspire to a standard that would allow me to freely communicate with most native Arabic speakers in everyday situations.
I would be willing to dedicate around 3-4 hours a week on lessons as well as spending several hours a week learning and practising on my own following a tutors directions.
In a tutor I think it would be best if they were able to be patient and understanding as I have never encountered the language before.
