I am a beginner Mandarin speaker.
I am traveling to China to work and need to develop a proficiency in the language before I leave.
I am most interested in conversation skills at this time.
Once or twice a week for 1-2 hours is how much I would like to dedicate to my language lessons.
I would like a teacher who is fluent in English. They should be patient and have good exercises and methods for teaching Mandarin to a beginner. A strong teaching background. Ability to teach about Chinese culture.

My wife is chinese and we would like the whole family to be able to speak chinese. Myself and our 2 boys do not speak any chinese, my wife is fluent in Mandarin but a little rusty. She would also like to brush up on reading portion.

A singer by profession, I am a not a beginner in the proper sense of the word because I have sung a few songs in Chinese on my various musical tours to the country. We are preparing a jingle for an advertisement the main target audience of which is going to be the Chinese audience. Therefore require proper diction and training in the language. Though not much time at my disposal since the ad film is required asap, I promise to be a dedicated student.
