I am looking for lessons for my son Zach. He is 13 years old and a 7th grader at a Catholic school in a Chicago suburb. He has been interested in the Japanese culture for years now. He reads books about Japan, fact and fiction all the time, has bought Japanese music CD's and has even purchased Japanese language CD's with his own money. He's a very good student, always on the honor roll and testing in the top 2% of kids nation wide in his age group. He would love to learn Japanese and I would love to be able to give him the chance to try.
A lot would depend on the location of the teacher and the days available to teach. I'm a single mother who works full time so it would be a matter of my being able to get him to a lesson each week. I do want the lessons in person, I think this would be the best way for him to learn rather then any of the other options. I do like the idea of a teacher native to Japan since he is so interested in the whole culture and not just the language but would be very open to any teacher who could teach him Japanese and maybe give him a little more insight into their culture.
I guess the best scenerio for us would be one lesson a week and take home work for him to work at on his own until the next lesson.

I am 11yrs old. I want to become a deaf interpreter. I am a beginner right now. I need improvement in all areas. I would like to contribute 2hrs twice a week on weekends.
I prefer a male who is firm yet understanding ; someone who has experience teaching people in my age group; someone who makes learning fun and interesting; someone who can teache me life skills beyond signning that will make me more successful in the craft, and someone who will be able to help me find work and/or interns to help me out.

I am a beginner, I want to learn Middle Eastern Arabic because I recently converted to Islam and I would like to read, speak, and pray in the language in which the Quran was sent to the prophet Muhammed(pbuh ) and in which my prayers are recited. I wish to speak, read and write Arabic. I will dedicate as much time that is needed until I feel comfortable enough with the language. I am looking for a teacher who is patient and understands the importance of why I want to learn Arabic.
