I work with a charity that has links with projects in East Africa - esp Tanzania and Rwanda and would really like to get at least a basic level of Swahili.
I have tried learning before with the disks but think i learn much better with a person who I can ask question and discuss things with.
I am a beginner and will only really be able to study after work or on the weekend. The amount of time will depend upon the cost.

I will be going to university in a French speaking area and I would like to be able to speak some of the language when I arrive there.
I have never dabbled in the language before. The areas I would need to improve on are everything. I have the whole summer and a lot of free time for lessons. I am looking for a teacher that can speak English and French fluently and can teach very well.

I would like to get to conversationa l level, and basic reading/writi ng.
Time spent on lessons would be 1-2 hrs a week. May vary depending on uni loading during the semester.
Ideally an adaptive and flexible teacher, start with the basics and go ffrom there.
