I learnt German for nine years in school and also went to Germany in 2004 as part of a school exchange program. However since I have graduated my knowledge for the language has slipped away and I need to get it back, I spent nine years learning it and it is too precious to me to simply give up. It would also help when I speak to my host parents (who speak minor English).
I also would like to learn French, something I've wanted to do for years. I have never learnt French though so I would have to start from the beginning.

French as a language is very romantic and it will be a good tool when migrating to Canada.
I'm a begginer and i am using the internet to learn french. it is different when you are learning the language through a person not merely listening from a MP3.
areas i would like to improve is listening, writing, speaking French.
i personally don't know how much time should be dedicated to learning french.
my teacher should be patient and has charisma to show that learning french is a cool thing to do.
