I'm Sam. I am from Perth Australia and I'm interested in continueing to learn Mandarin which I learnt in Shanghai while I was living and working there for two and a half years. I came back to Australia in September last year. I am able to have basic conversations in Chinese and would like to improve this and begin to learn to write. Depending on cost I would like to spend 1 or two hours a week in lessons and more with self study. I would like structured lessons with a view to taking a qualification in Chinese in the future. I am looking for a private tutor that can offer 2-3 lessons per week for 1.5 hours. I am looking for a teacher at approximately 15-20 per hour. I lived in China and other parts of Asia for about 2 years and have decided to finish where I left off with Mandarin. I am rusty but learn very quickly and already have a basic vocabulary. My understanding of Pin Yin and pronunciation is very strong. Please respond with any suggestions you may have.

I would like to learn Mandarin. I am located in Brampton Ontario. i am a part-time student therefore I would need a teacher that can teach during the evenings and weekends. I would be classified as beginners. i want to learn mandarin becuase I will be visiting China for 4 months next year. therefore I want to be able to speak it a little. I would be fully dedicated to learn the language becuase i want to be able to undestand it and read it before i leave for China in 2010. meaning 25 hrs a week.

I would like to learn mandarin. I have started to take classes about 4 years ago, but only lasted for less then a year (so I forgot almost everything :)). I was mentored by a chinese friend of mine in Prague. I have always been interested in mandarin language and now that I moved to KL, I would like to use this opportunity to really learn it from a native speaker. I am looking for private (or small group classes) lessons, once/twice a week. I live in KL, but work in Cyberjaya, so my availability is rather slim, but with will everything goes. Many thanks. Dasha
