I am an intermediate student of kiswahili. I live in Nairobi but I am visiting Boston, Washington DC, and San Diego in October - November 2006 and I want to continue kiswahili instruction with a tutor. I am interested in tutoring for one or two hours daily with homework and memorization exercises totaling another one or two hours, for a total time commitment of four hours daily. The tutor should be a native speaker. My first language is English.

Hi Im enquirng about learning english for my spouse. She is has a basic grasp of English as she learnt the language upto form two in high school. The areas that she needs imrovement on and that are critical to her is converstion and understanding , her reading ability is quite good. Being i the marketing arena she needs to be able to converse well in English as this will help her gain confidence whan dealing with clients who prefer to converse in English. As such i,m looking for a tutor or school that can provide her with the chance to learn in an open and free environment if its a tutor then he/she should have a good tolerance and honesty and also patience to allow her to learn at a good pace while ensuring she gets the most out of it. The final analysis is for her to be able to speak english well.

Dear Instructor:
My husband is a visiting professor from Purdue University in Indiana, United States of America. He is doing a sabbatical at the University of Brescia. I am accompanying him for the duration of his stay. I am very interested in learning as much Italian during the time as I can. We have been here sine the beginning of JulY, an although I can get by, I cannoy communicate with any fluency. Mt time is my own during the day and I am able to spend a considerable amount of time on my project to learn Italian. (We are hoping to be able to return in the summers.)
I speak French quite fluently, but I learned French when I was a small child, living in Geneva, Switzerland. I am now an older woman, and it appears to be more difficult for me to learn. I am however, extremely motivated.
I am hoping to here from a teacher soon, as I would like to get started. I selected 'Private Lessons' for class type, but I am equally as comortable with a larger class. I would enjoy meeting some new people. Others do not have to be English speakers, as hopefully, we will be learning Italian together.
