I have been learning Latvian for a year using the Teach your Self series book and CD. I began because I wanted to explore the country as an independent traveller. Last summer I spent 3 weeks on holiday in Latvia and found the little bit of Latvian that I had learnt very helpful. But what I am lacking is conversation and the chance to practise speaking with somebody who can correct and encourage me. I am based in the UK but hoping to spend two weeks in Latvia again this summer, some time between mid July and the end of August. I am looking for an intensive course of about a week, with several hours contact a day - perhaps two separate hour-long lessons a day with a chance to reflect and consolidate in between. I would be happy to take this course in a place outside the capital - indeed that might be preferable because there would be fewer people wanting to practise their English instead of letting me practise my Latvian!

Being a Bengali growing up in England, I have picked up an adequate sense of spoken Bengali, but my Hindi remains very weak. As such, I wish to consolidate and expand my knowledge of this language. I am currently a beginner and could benefit most from spoken Hindi lessons concentrating on grammar and conversation. I am going to be in India for three weeks in July and as such would like to make as much progress during this time by using an intensive course. I am looking for a teacher that will be able to accelerate my learning as much as possible as I will need to learn very quickly.

i am a 23 year old university graduate, living in Bristol, United Kingdom and I have a large network of Friends who are Latvian. I have developed a keen interest in speaking Latvian and have spent the past few weeks learning Latvian.
I am excited to visit Latvia by myself in order to practice my language skills and i was hoping that I could arrange a small weekend lesson at a location of your convenience.
I am hoping to arrange two days of lessons, lasting about half a day each, so that i can learn a bit more of the latvian language, do somethign productive while i'm there, meet some Latvian people and also get given advise/techni ques for effective learning.
I hope this is alright, and hopefully we can arrange something suitable.
