My name is Silas Baxter-Neal and i am wanting to learn japanese conversation mostly but would like to eventually learn to read and write as well. My wife is japanese and i have learned alot of basic words from her and through my visits to japan but i would like to be able to be a fluent speaker. 1) my father and his family are from Pakistan
2) to become better familiarized with South Asian culture
3) for career advancement
Before moving to Washington, DC in 2009, I had been taking private lessons in Seattle for about 5 months; using the 'Let's Study Urdu' textbook by Ali S. Asani and Syed Akbar.
I would eventually like to have a fluent and academic understanding of Urdu.
