We are planning to retire to France. I would like to improve my conversationa l French, which is now adequate for daily life in France. I have good basics, but from many years ago! Number of lessons per week is dependant on cost.

I visit France each year as I have a long connection with an area in the south west, plus I ride my bike in the alps and pyrennees.
I am confident in talking to people I meet in shops etc but I want to develop my language further.
I can use future and past tenses (imperfect, perfect etc)but I have a limited vocabulary and I think I've got into bad habits over the years as people have been too polite to correct me! I would like ideally to have weekly classes, either individually or in a small group, with the emphasis on spoken french, not reading the classics, but I'd love to understand the quiz shows on early evening TV. Ideally the teacher would be someone currently closely connected to France. Discussions of history and politics would be OK too. I would be quite happy to do extra work on cd programs at the same time

I want to learn French to help in traveling to countries speak French such as african countries, canada, and of course France. My level is 2 in French. I need improvment in conservation. I will travel from my country to Nigeria to study French, so I am willing to give as much time as it requires to learn French. I am looking forward for a patient cooperate teacher to help me learn, and aslo intersting subjects for learning to make things exciting and desirable for learning.
