I am a beginner and am willing to dedicate up to 10 hours per week to language lessons. I am learning Japanese because I want to live in Japan for 3 - 6 months next year and want to be able to converse with people. Also, I am currently traveling to take courses from Japanese teachers and need a translator to understand what they are saying. I want to be able to understand without a translator. I am 16 years old, and I want to learn how to speak the Japanese language. It would be great to learn how to read/write it also, but I am not asking for that. I plan on going to Japan for a long time after Highschool, and perhaps even majoring in Asian studies. So I think knowing this language will help me a lot. As for time, I can arrange any times with the tutor, but I am very dedicated to learning, and want to meet at least 3 days a week. I am usually not very busy, other than school from 7:50am-2:45pm . For qualities in the teacher, I look for someone who fully knows and understands everything about the language, and someone who has expierience in teaching. Also, someone who is nice! Hehe.
