As I have many friends or acquaintances living in Sweden, and am extremely attracted by this place, I do wish to learn language in order to get more into the culture of the country.
I have had some books+CD combinations, but still need teaching from beginner's level, to ensure progressive improvments.
I am ready to spend several hours a week for learning that language.
I expect my teacher to be demanding ... but patient at the same time. I usually am not bad with 'northern' languages, so I guess I won't be too bad a student.

My boyfriend is swedish and lives in toronto with me. Although he speaks fluent english I would like to learn swedish. I took a one month intensive course in sweden so would say I am still a beginner with conversationa l and beginner grammar.

I have passed Svenska För Invandare and am now studying Svenska som Andra Språk grund niveå at Komvux. I would like to be fluent in Swedish and be able to join in converstaions on a social basis. Therefore, I would like to focus on conversation. I envisage a 1-1.5 hour lesson a week with the possibility of extending the lesson time.
As for qualities in a teacher, I would look for someone who builds up my confidence and pushes me.

I was in Sweden for one year. I can speak the language, but I wish to keep my language and I can get a good and a qualified certificate and I can work as a translator.
As i said I want to keep the language so I would like to be good in grammar as well as conversation.
As far as I am in touch with the language One hour per day would be sufficient to graap it.
I want to be a translator in a qualified and well known company for that I need a good certifiace, so I just expect these things for the particular course.
