I undertook 5 years of French as a school subject ( quite a few years ago). Have visited France approx. 4 times in last 20 years, and managed conversationa lly very roughly. I want to improve my convestaionla French to a level where I can manage essential basic conversation in French speaking places, with a view to living for some time in France ( or elsewhere) to improve language skills from that platform.
Reading also, tho that is not so important, and I can get by at present.
