I travel to Lebanon frequently because I have good friends that live there. However, its hard to learn Arabic there because everyone wants to talk English with me. I can speak 'lebanese' on a low conversationa l level and i can read and write arabic although not very well. I really need improvement in both grammar and conversation. I have a good foundation but definitely need to increase my vocabulary so that i can converse on many different subjects.
I would like to dedicate atleast 3 hours a week on Arabic lessons, but I would like to spend more hours per week. It all depends on the cost. All I'm lookign for in a tutor is that he/she is able to communicate effectively to me with patience, and also be very organized in lesson plans so as to produce optimum results.

My daughter is 14 and has taken two years of Chinese at Bishop's. I would like her to keep up with the language duing the summer and possibly into the school year. I think she needs help with writing characters and their meaning plus she needs reinforcement of verbal skills. I am thinking one or two hours per week with written assignments.
