I really would like to learn Persian because my father is from there but he does not live with me so he cannot teach me. I would like to visit Iran and other countries in the middle east. I am learning Spanish because I work for Child Protective Services and would like to become bilingual. I would place myself at the intermediate level but really SHOULD be at the advanced level (I have had more than 10 years in Spanish classes in school, but I never use my Spanish). I need a refresher in all parts of the language. I am willing to devote an hour and a half to lessons a week and would prefer a teacher that is profficient in both proper Spanish and slang.

Hello, my name is Sarah. I'm in love with the Japanese culture and hope to someday visit/live there. But the problem is that no one takes me seriously when I say i want to learn Japanese. I've tried books and CD's but i'm having a hard time learning.
