I am a beginner. My father is Filipino from Subic Bay and I want to speak the language. My family speaks both Ilocano and Tagalog. I want to start with Tagalog. I hope to bless my grandmother by speaking to her in her native tongue and I have desires to be a singer and dancer in that language. I want to learn as fast as possible and if the teacher is good at teaching my language- I am willing to be committed to them. I'd like to be an intermediate and able to converse within 9 months. I want a teacher who knows the culture and who is native to it. One who can explain well and teach visually. I'd like the majority of our lessons to be in Tagalog and for her to provide homework and hands on activities.

I'm taking Elem Arabic at Georgia State; however, the school doesn't have an Arabic tutor. I'm having trouble with dictation, so I need extra help. I would also like someone to check my homework and to practice conversation with. I would like to learn Arabic because I'm interested in Middle Eastern Studies, and I would like to be able to speak arabic w/ my grandmother.
