I am hoping to learn a few languages, some simultaneousl y when possible. I am learning Spanish for the growing customer base that speak only Spanish; Tagalog so I can communicate with my family I am slowly getting to know as well as for work; Irish and Italian because those are the native languages of my maternal grandparents. Japanese because I have family I would like to speak with, and to be honest it sounds fun.
My best learning is done when I can communicate with my tutor several days a week, as I choose to try and incorporate the language into my daily life, including work. This also means many of my questions will quite possibly be work related.
My work schedule will be changing soon. My days off are during the week, and my hours are usually until the early hours of the evening.

I first became interested in learning Japanese over 20 years ago and studied it for a bit, but did not keep up with lessons at that time. A couple of years ago, I decided to start the process again.
I have taken 4 semesters of Japanese at a local community college using the Genki books. It was a lot of information to take in and I don't feel that I fully mastered all of the grammar from these books. Also, my listening and speaking skills are weak. I want to strengthen my skills in these areas as well as reinforce the grammar I have learned so far.
I would like to take one lesson a week and am willing to do homework.
I am looking for a teacher who is patient but also will correct me when I make mistakes.
