I know a few words, my boyfriend is Turkish so he's teaching me a little bit. I'd like to learn Turkish because he and I plan on getting married and none of his family can speak english so I would like to learn so I can talk to them, and also once we decide to have children I would like them to know both languages and be able to talk to both my husband and I in English and Turkish. For lessons Sundays would be the best only because I don't work those days, I work one Saturday a month so Saturdays can work as well as long as the teacher can be flexible, during the week maybe one or two times a week would be nice, I work till 5pm so it would have to be after that during the week. Looking for someone who can be patient and really help me understand the Turkish language, speak the turkish language and possibly read the turkish language.

I want to learn Turkish, so I can communicate better with my friend's mom and also my friends. I find this language, history and culture interesting. It is difficult to learn by myself and online and to communicate I think would help alot. It would be easier to learn face to face with someone. My level is just a little more than beginners. I need to improve sentence order, speaking and grammar. If I can find a teacher who can help then I would spend as much time as it takes to become an advanced speaker in Turkish. In a teacher, I need someone who is patient and can explain their lessons very well and enjoys teaching people their native language. Someone who can give good examples as well as communicate with me till I understand. I would like lessons that are challenging, but not so much that I do not understand them.

I am interested in beginning level Turkish. I have just returned from a trip to Turkey where I had a wonderful time. I am an artist and would like to participate in the 2009 Istanbul Biennale art exposition. I have other offers for art shows in Istanbul. Although many people in Turkey speak english, it would be very helpful to speak Turkish. Conversation is my top priority with proper grammer and cultural understanding . I am interested in starting lessons in January 2008.
