Vietnamese was my first language but I stopped speaking the language after I attended school. My parents wanted us to speak English with them so they could learn and I never went back to speaking Vietnamese. I understand south Vietnamese unless it's about history, geography, politics or names. I do not know how to read or write Vietnamese unless it's a restaurant menu. I want to learn how to read and write it to support my speaking the language. I would need to work on my conversation and grammar as I've been told that I speak like a child since I am trying to speak it the way I remember. I would hope to spend about 2-3 times a week for at least an hour or more. I can work independently but I would want to make contact with my tutor at least once a week or more. I am looking for a teacher who will make the lesson interesting at a beginner's level. I attempted to learn the alphabet from my Mom over the holidays and really struggled.

I am a beginner in sign language, but would like to learn how to communicate more efficiently. After taking a class at my university, I fell in love with it. I am now interested in studying sign language for personal use. I am available on weekends at any time of the day. I prefer to do this one-on-one so that I am able to ask questions in case I need clarification .

I want to learn Korean because it facinates me, and I would love to be able to read, understand and speak it.
I am a beginner.
I have not taken any previous classes for this language.
I would dedicate about an hour and a half up to two hours for my language lessons.
O ne quality that I would like in my teacher is that he/she is patient and will encourage me even though I might not grasp the context easily.

I am in need of learning this foreign language for my job and have no previous knowledge or skills. I believe that I am in immediate need of conversationa l skills being that I will be traveling to Afganistan later in the year.
