I wish to learn Japanese because I wish to visit friends in Japan in the next year or so.
I know some basic phrases and nouns. I am a beginner.
I want to learn online via instant messanger typing, instant messenger voice chat, and email.
I am not sure how much time a week in chat is appropriate. I imagine a one hour session twice a week, but I am willing to chat more often. I am willing to study one or more hours a day.
I am looking for a teacher who is fluent in Japanese as well as English. I would like a teacher who will focus on spoken Japanese and romanji via chat. I would like a teacher who is professional but pleasent with a sense of humor.
I am 40 year man employed as a high school computer teacher.
I am willing to have in-person lessons if you are in Western NY, upsate NY, or Southern Ontario.

I learnt spoken Swahili during two years spent in Tanzania. I know a lot of slang, and am very comfortable speaking. However, I fear that I will lose much of my knowledge without classes, and would like to get much more practice at written Swahili. I would like to get to a level where I am familiar with proverbs, and can almost write Swahili poetry. I notice that Swahili spoken on the television in Tanzania is much more complicated than that generally spoken, and I would like to become more like a native.
I would like to go back to graduate school next year, for Anthropology, and would like Swahili to be the language I am tested on at that level.
I am looking for a professional teacher, with a sense of humor, and a good understanding of the grammatical components (and perhaps historical evolution of words) of the language. I will ask many questions, so need someone with patience!

I am a beginning Hindi speaker and will be traveling to northern India to assist in teaching children English. I would also like to teach a beginning Hindi classes in my community (if I can ever get the accent right!). I need to have a teacher to assist me in all areas of speaking, reading, and writing Hindi. I would like a weekly lesson with homework I can work on during the week. I am not particular in having a Hindi teacher who is a native Hindi speaker as I am not needing translation services; just a dedicated teacher who can speak, read, and write Hindi.
