I have no background in learning Arabic or Turkish. I speak Spanish and Greek and I have some background in French and Italian. However I would like to learn Arabic and Turkish because I am fascinated by these two languages. The reason I want to learn Arabic and Turkish is purely social but I will be very committed to the languages and I want to learn to speak fluently.
I would like to dedicate at least 3-5 hours a week with a teacher. I would spend a lot more time on my own reviwing the language.
I am looking for a teacher who is enthusiastic about the subject and patient. I am also looking for someone with a flexible schedule because I am a full time student.

I am a beginner. My father is Filipino from Subic Bay and I want to speak the language. My family speaks both Ilocano and Tagalog. I want to start with Tagalog. I hope to bless my grandmother by speaking to her in her native tongue and I have desires to be a singer and dancer in that language. I want to learn as fast as possible and if the teacher is good at teaching my language- I am willing to be committed to them. I'd like to be an intermediate and able to converse within 9 months. I want a teacher who knows the culture and who is native to it. One who can explain well and teach visually. I'd like the majority of our lessons to be in Tagalog and for her to provide homework and hands on activities.
