I am a musician, and I sing a lot of bossa nova and samba material in brazilian portuguese. I have worked hard to try and translate every set of lyrics as best I can by looking up words and by piecing together the meaning of those words, but I would now like to learn about the grammar of Brazilian portuguese. I hope to eventually have a working knowledge of the language so that I can also carry on some conversations with people when we eventually visit Brazil. But my first most pressing need is to understand the songs I am singing accurately.
I can afford to spend about an hour a day on language study right now. I consider myself a beginner, though I have made stabs at Pimsleur CD learning.
I am looking for a teacher who presents the grammar in an organized way, and who is also open to answering questions I may pose about lyrics I don't understand.
Ideally, I would be interested in learning from a native speaker, and most ideally from someone who knows something about bossa nova and samba traditions. I realize this may be a lot to ask. But I may as well ask!

Hello,
My name is Sandy and I'm very interested in learning the Croatian Language. My husband and I bought a home in Bosnia-Herzeg ovina 3 years ago, and sometimes I may go for 4-5 months a year. I'm a beginner in the language and feel so silly that I still cannot have a conversation with my neighbors. I promised myself the next time I go I will be able to speak it! It would be so helpful for my family instead of trying to find someone to translate. I will be a serious student, I will need a patient teacher at 47 years old I'm having some trouble with memory but I will do my absolute best to learn. I will like to have lessons over the internet, and will leave it up to the teacher and also the cost on how many lessons a week, I do hope there is someone out there that can meet my needs. I thank you so much for your time.
