Shalom!
As a 52-year-old linguist with a Jewish background,
I started teaching myself Hebrew about 2 years ago.
While I continue to make good progress, I feel I would
now like to join an advanced beginners' class - Ulpan? -
as per August / September, to be able to practice with
classmates and have my qestions answered by a
(preferably Israel native) teacher, as well as interact /
socialize with Israelis in the greater Dallas area, which
is where I am based.
Bei ng a serious and committed individual, my intention is to become fluent in modern Hebrew and I am prepared and willing to work hard (and enjoy myself!) towards this end.
I would enjoy for class to meet 3-5 times a week.
Kindly advise if you could assist me in finding an adequate
learning environment to improve my modern Hebrew language
skills.

Hi, I'm a graduated college student with a BA in Japanese language. Right now I'm working only part time at Super-H Mart to save up for work in Japan. Before I do that, I need to continue studying for Japanese especially on a business level. I can do either one-on-one lessons or group lessons (that is if the group is composed of others who wish to take business and not people I know). I live in Naperville and I can commute. But I'm hoping that I don't have to go to Chicago all the time to study. I think at least one hour a week would work.
Additionall y, I'm going to take the JLPT level 2 test this December. Is there a way to integrate that into my lesson?
Wh at I need the most help in is Business Japanese, Kanji reading and writing, and maybe some conversation (especially keigo).
I want a tutor who is a native Japanese speaker. She or he does have to speak English well. Maybe it's better if it's Japanese only.

I am seriously interested in improving my English skills. I graduated university in Korea, and came to United States 2 years ago. After finishing two semesters in law school, I realize that I do need to improve my speaking and listening in English.
My fall semester begins in the middle of August, therefore, I have about 8 weeks to prepare.
