I am wanting to learn Filipino out of interest in the culture and to communicate with friends online in their native language. I am a fresh beginner knowing only a few words and phrases. I would like to spend at least a couple hours a week at minimum studying the language. I would prefer a teacher that uses visual aid to help the learning process, seeing is believing!!

I am learning tagalog because I am a goofy white guy and I hang out with a lot of Filipino people. At least 20 people I work with are born in the Phillipenes, and I'm interested in being able to communicate with them. Also, I am most attracted to Filipino females, so I would like to broaden my spectrum by being able to speak to all Filipino women, not just the ones in America. The Filipinos that I hang out with have no major interest in learning Tagalog, and aren't a very big help in teaching me what they already know, or practicing the conversations that I have learned. In Las Vegas, the Filipino poplulation is very large and growing. A lot of the older Filipino natives have difficulty speaking in english, and I am interested in being able to coversate with them regardless. I understand most people that speak tagalog also say learning spanish is very easy for them, witch I also intend on learning. I have looked in to taking college classes in tagalog, but have yet to find a place that offers this training. I do not really know a lot of Tagalog, basic greetings, titles, but I definitely need a lot of improvement to conversate. I think that one of the greatest gifts we have in this world is communication , and I think it is a major injustice to only communicate with one group of people. Learning new languages interests me greatly, and the individuals that have taught me the spanish and tagalog I know tell me I am a very good student. All I've learned so far is from videos on youtube, so I don't necessarily have a lesson plan any further than just reciting to myself over and over what I have written down. I would like some examination, some documentation that shows my improvement. I am a fast learner, and I would love to see what you have to offer. What your prices are and what your lesson plan is.
