I want to improve my Portuguese because my girl-friend is from Sao-Paulo. I went there 4 times, so I had basic vocabulary, but I want to improve. I am in Canada and I'm moving to Brasil at the end of next fall. I can talk little bit, but without according my verb and simple sentences... as my first language is french... it give me some advantages to understand and read...Conver sation is one of my focus, but grammar as well as I plan to work there as a professionnal on agriculture. Maybe 3 hours a week could be good !! I'm looking for dynamic courses, I want to have fun as well !! Interactive.. visual.

Hello There!
My name is Carol Krum. I am currently living in Germany. I am here living with my boyfriend. He works here each year August through to April. I came here this season expecting to teach myself German through CDs, books, and the internet. I have found it much more difficult than expected. I am very eager to learn German so I can converse with the locals. I know a few words, but I would say I am a true beginner. I will be home in late April, so I would love to start classes in May 2010 and continue through to the end of August 2010.
Ideally, I am thinking of 2 hours of lessons per week. My budget allows for $25/hour. I have a great textbook that I bought from Chapters that I would like to work from. I think I just lack the confidence with the pronunciation and grammar.
I look forward to hearing from interested teachers and commencing my German classes with a native German speaking teacher in May.

Hello/Hola,
I am interested in learning another language as I do a lot of work in international regions. I would like to do more personal travelling as well to various places in South America and overall just have always wanted to learn the language.
I am pretty much a beginner learner who has had a few lessons here and there but am sure some of it will come right back. I need improvements in most aspect. At this point, i have a significant amount of time to dedicate to learning as I am between opportunities at this time. Once I start workign again, I will still have a fair amount of time but wont be quite as flexible.
I am looking for a teacher who can be somewhat flexible with me and has a good knowledge of vocabulary in various parts of latin and south america and can showcase the differences and/or words in particular to avoid that may hold various meanings. I am hoping to be conversationa l by the end of the summer (optimal) or the end of the year (depending on schedules)
