I am a beginner in Portugese, but I speak fluent Spanish so I have a good knowledge of the grammar of Portugese. I know that some of the vocabulary is quite similar to Spanish as well. I will be travelling to Portugal in July, and likely to Brazil some time in the future too, and I've always wanted to learn Portugese. I'd like to learn conversationa l Portugese. I can study some evenings right now -- Wednesdays and Fridays only until the middle of this month, when I will be free during the daytime on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays until 4 PM, and the whole day on Wednesdays and Fridays. I'd prefer not to have class on the weekends.
I would like a teacher who puts emphasis on conversation and who is very relaxed and easy-going, as well as encouraging.
I am a language teacher as well, and I appreciate very much when the teacher is prepared for the lessons too.

Hello! My husband and I are seriously interested in learning to speak French fluently. I am able to speak enough to get by in travel (my mother is a native speaker), and my husband has learned some French as well. We have a young son just learning his first words, whom we also want to learn French. (We intend for him to attend a French school).
W e are looking for a teacher who can teach us to speak in real life situations (i.e. 'Please sit down and eat your dinner', ect.), help us to improve our vocabulary and grammar. We would be available for one hour lessons each week and are prepared to study and practice daily between lessons.
W e are anxious to get started!
