I am a beginner in learning Mandarin Chinese but would like to learn it as it is one of the most widely spoken languages. This would also help me in career developement as I am in the Coast Guard and occasionally come across Mandarin speakers. I would be willing to dedicate 3-5 hrs a week to lessons. Qualities I look for in a teacher is someone that can teach practical uses of the language instead of just text book grammar and is someone younger who I can relate to better.

Hi. I am interested in learning Norwegian. I am actually a Norwegian citizen (I was born there), however at home we always spoke English. My father and brothers still live in Norway and I am very interested in learning the language. In fact, I used to speak Norwegian when I was a child, but I left for the United States at 7 years old and I no longer had a use for the language as I always spoke to my father in Englsih (my mother is American).
M y husband and I would like to return to Norway one day to live for a few years, and I really wanted to get a headstart on the language before we embarked on this journey.

I have been studying German for a 1.5 year. I know some basic Grammar. I have had a break from German for 6 months. I like German and I hope to be able to use for my career in the future. I need to repeat Grammar and of cause to improve my conversationa l skills.
I would like to meet twice a week. I will be taking classes in the Fall and I am not sure what my schedule will look like. But I am on vocation right now untill September
I am looking for a tutor who is well organized in his/her tutoring. Who gives a lot and asks alot. I would like to have tests from time to time(which keeps me organized).

Hi! My name is Karen and I have been studying Turkish on my own now for a year. I used to take private Italian lessons and I was becoming fluent...unti l I met my Turkish boyfriend and then, learning Turkish became my focus. Recently, we just came back from Turkey and after, we came back I realized I have to study more. I need help with grammar and conversationa l turkish. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it. I have basic knowledge of verb tenses and grammar, but I have a difficult time putting it all together when I try to communicate.
