I am a beginner who can kind of read Italian because I used to speak so much French. A lot of the words are very similar. I need to learn how to speak and read Italian because I have family in Italy I would like to visit and I am also searching our family history. Someday, I will travel there and stay for a month or so and research the documents. I am looking for a teacher who will speak mostly Italian to me to get me fully immersed. Having taken 6 years of French in school, I know what it takes to learn a language.
