My name is Samuel Taylor. I am a 13-year-old and I am seeking a Japanese language teacher. I am a beginner and have VERY basic Japanese skills. I have been interested in Japan since I was very young and want to eventually live there. I want to learn the language so I can converse with people in Japan and because I am extremely interested in the culture.
I would like lessons in person, preferably on weekends but am flexible. The ideal times for me would be Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday nights or Saturday afternoon. I am flexible on the duration of lesson, but would like to dedicate about 2-3 hours a week.
I am looking for a teacher who is experienced, professional, is skilled in teaching beginners, and has the language perfected down to the finest details. I would also like someone who is kind, patient, is easy to talk to, and will give me confidence. I want to learn conversationa l speaking so I can apply it to the real world. I would like lessons not focussed on learning it fast, but to make sure I fully understand it. I am very serious about learning Japanese, and in turn would like a qualified teacher who is equally as committed.

i studied spanish in high school for 4 years and italian in college for about 2 years. i was somewhat fluent in italian but stopped speaking it some years ago, although i can still understand it. i understand spanish somewhat but for some reason, its a little more difficult. i want to learn spanish at this time because it seemed more likely that i could absorb the language quickly, now that i live in a spanish speaking neighborhood and have many friends and acquaintances who speak spanish. also, it's a little dream of mine, to go to cuba to study the language and the music.

Two years ago, I took an elem. Italian class via distance education. I was eager to learn the basics of the language, because my family and I were going to spend a week in Italy. We were also going to be visiting my husband's Italian relatives, many of whom did not speak English.
Listening to audio tapes was the only chance I had to hear the spoken language, which made it difficult for me as I had no immediate feedback while I was learning.
I would like to continue to study Italian to increase my vocabulary and proficiency. We are planning another trip to Italy within the next year and a half, so I would really like to be more comfortable with the language.
I would like to get to the intermediate level and would be interested in small group sessions, or one-on-one sessions if the small group was possible.

Hi, my proficiency level would be a beginner,I really wanted to learn more than just one language, like right now i would like to start off with French. or Portuguese. The reason why I like to learn languages is because i'm planning to go to Argentina where i've been inform already about tourism and excellent opportunities with this two languages. I don't think any area in particular, just basics and to be able to communicate well. Time as necessary, and i hope this is more easy than the first time i learn english. It wasn't that hard!
