LOOKING 4 SOMEONE TO TEACH ME SWAHILI
Hi my name is Ryan I am planning in the very near future to visit the continent of Africa. I will be traveling to such countries as Kenya, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mozambique, Botswana amongst others. I would like to find someone to teach me how to speak Swahili. I have been learning some Swahili on my own but I would like to find a person that is fluent in Swahili to teach me. I will be going to Africa for the purpose of making a humanitarian difference in the lives of the beautiful people of Africa.

At current I speak only english. I used to be conversant in ASL, but I am now out of practice and fading. I know occasional words and phrases in Yiddish, German, Italian, and French. I am interested in learning those as well as Hebrew.

Re ason for learning foreign languages: I enjoy traveling, and learning about other cultures, and I love teaching. I have a master's degree in TESOL. I would like to be able to master other languages beside English and Spanish.
I need special improvement in conversation.
About amount of time that I would dedicate depends a lot on distance to place of learning. I live in Miami Lakes. If I were able to find a teacher of Italian in my neighborhood, I would easily take two or three lessons weekly.
Qu alities I look for in a teacher: knowledge, methodology, interactivity , creativity and love for teaching languages.

My native language is English, but my parents are from Afghanistan and my profiency in Farsi is advanced. I speak Dari but when I here Iranian farsi I can only understand 35-45% of it. I cannot read or write in Farsi either, my skills are primarily oral. I am also fairly strong in Spanish.
