I teach overseas in the middle east and need to learn Arabic so as to be a more effective teacher. My children are with me on teaching assignments and need to learn Arabic as well to keep up with the other students in their classes.
So I am looking for instruction for a group of 3. We all have some basic background of the arabic alphabet and some basic vocabulary words.

I have taken one year of russian at the university. My mom, who is bulgarian, is a native russian speaker. So i am a little more familiar with russian than bulgarian. My russian is slightly better than my bulgarian. For the most part I am @ beginner level for both. The reason i would like to study bulgarian is for academic reasons. I am planning to go to bulgaria as a fulbright scholar sometime in 2007. I think that additional language skills, would help for the application process. My mom's side of the family also lives in bulgaria. I would just be nice to know better. In terms of areas of improvment: most areas, but in particular with overall vocabularly and conversation skills are lacking. I would like to speand the entire month of may, and june studying bulgarian. But until then i can only do once to twice a week, just due to school restraints. I want someone who is more of coach than a teacher. Some kind of full emersion thing.

I am a beginner, never had any type of Portuguese lessons. I want to learn a) to better communicate in my work with my Brazilian colleagues and b) personal enhancements
I would like to dedicate 1-2 hours a week for lessona, and I am willing to spend whatever necessary for homework.
Qualities in teacher: straightforwa rd and organized. I do not want to waste my time or money.

I am a beginner and am about to finish my first semester of arabic. I am learning in order to read the Quran and also hopefully study in Morocco. I am able to dedicate an hour to two hours a week to lessons and I can spend up to an hour or more a day on my own.
