Dear teachers,
My name is Julia Dolce and I am 28 years old. I have grown up in an Italian family. I have lived in Italy for two years and I go to Italy every summer to visit family and friends. I am looking to brush up on my grammatical and communication skills. I can speak fluent Italian, but I don't speak the language every day, therefore I am looking for a tutor to help out. I would like to dedicate an hour a week or more. I am looking for a teacher who loves his/her job and is patient.

I'd like to learn European languages because I'm aspiring to study international business law. Languages I'd most like to master would be the major business languages (German, French) but I'm also interested in studying other languages, especially Nordic languages.
I'd like my instructor to be knowledgeable in not only the language, but also in the culture. I'd like to be able to instantly recognize cultural aphorisms in whatever language I'm studying. I'm also a very quick learner, and very dedicated, so I'd like my instructor to be able to recognize advancement and instruct accordingly.
I'm willing to dedicate up to 10 hours a week to learn a language, or just to learn the basics so I can instruct myself later on for a deeper understanding of the language.

We are adopting an 8 year old boy from Guatemala named Geovany. We will be bringing him home at the end of this month..March 2006.
I am seeking a tutor for english. Geovany is going to go right into the baltimore county school system here and I want him to be able to 'get' the jist of things fairly quickly. Maybe more understanding key words right now???He seems to be pretty sharp.
I would like the tutor to be experienced teaching spanish-speak ing children, empathetic, caring and understanding of this child's situation. I know he does not know much at all and I am not much help with his spanish.
He will have help in some form at school ( I do not know what services yet because the balto. county schools need to assess him when he arrives).
I want him to have the best help I can get him !!
