I would say that my proficiency level in Japanese is basic or beginner. I am learning Japanese because I studied Japanese while in middle school and college, and I would like to relearn what I've lost. I have been taking Japanese classes since last year, but I still feel that my conversationa l skills are very weak which is the reason why I am seeking out a tutor. I think an hour once a week or every other week should suffice. I also could use more work with reading kanji as well, but I think that I would really like to focus on conversation for now and I am looking for a teacher to help me with this.
