I am a beginner, and don't know anything about Mandarin. I am interested in learning Mandarin because I was matched with a beautiful woman on an online dating service. She is from Taiwan, and she does not speak English so well. Maybe I can better understand her if I learn a little about her culture and language. I think it would be a lot of fun too. I need to improve particularly with speaking and listening. I could dedicate one or two hours a day to learning. I will only be dedicated as long as she remains interested in me. I am interested in learning this language for several reasons. Later this year I am planning my first trip to Ethiopia. I intend on going to and from this area often in the next coming years of my life and at some point to totally move there.
