I know essentially no Arabic. My husband is Middle Eastern and I would like to learn so that my trip overseas is easier, plus I would like to be able to communicate with my son in 2 languages. I would like to speak and read Arabic. I know it will be a long process but I am willing and anxious to learn.
I will dedicate as much time as needed to my lessons. I am looking for a teacher that is dedicated to me as a student, but who also realizes that life happens, as I will understand for him/her.

I want to learn Quaanic Arabic so that I can learn to read the Quran and understand what the meaning of wahat I am reading. I know the alphabet and the vowels but not much else. I am very serious about learning and can spend as much time as the teacher has to teach me, seven days a week and any number of hours she can spend. I want a teacher who has the ability to teach with the correct pronunciation and one who is patient and dedicated.

I have started learning Croatian on my own using Pimsleur DVDs and have begun to learn several words and phrases. I would like to learn to speak Croatian fluently over the next several years. I am going in a long term relationship with a Croatian and we see marriage possibilities in our future. His culture and history is very important to him and I am embolden to learn because of my passion for him and my desire to learn. I will also be traveling to Croatia this summer and want to have a strong foundation from which to build my understanding of the language.
I need to learn grammer, vocabulary and verb usage.
I usually spend about 1/2 a day practicing with the DVDs to learn words. Right now I am finishing my last semester in school and will have the summer off before going on to do my doctorate. While not in school I can afford more time to dedicate to learning the language.
In a teacher I would like to be challenged and pushed to learn. I am a quick study and like to learn. I also want to understand the nuances of the Croatian language that are not in the text books, but words and phrases that are functional to everyday life.
