I would like to klearn Spanish because it will help me relate to a much broader group of people both at work and in my social life.
I would like to have a working knowledge of the Spanish Language.
I would like to dedicate an appropriate amount of time towards learning this language. Because I have not taken Spanish lessons before I do not have any idea what type of investment of time is required.
Teacher Qualities; First patience, then I would like someone who will provide a basic knowledge of how to correclty pronounce the language and how to properly structure sentences. I am looking for osmeone who can teach me the language but not in strictly a extremely formal sense. I would like to be considered to have the ability to have convesational Spanish, not just gramatically correct Spanish.

R eason for learning: I have always wanted to learn how ot speak scottish gaelic because I have roots in scotland and I loved hearing my cousins speak it. I also want to learn Scottish gaelic becuase I am applying for a scholarship in a high-school student ambassador program. In this programs I would be able to spend a month in scotland and experience the culture. By learning a language of that a country I am visiting I feel I will be able to immerse myself more in their culture and benifit from it and fully embrace it, even if the language is not spoken throughout the country.
L esson time: I am willing to dedicate 1.5 to two hours to my lanuage lessons once or twice a week
Quali ties in a teacher: I would like a teacher who has alot of patience and a good sense of humor. I would also like a person who likes to work with high-school level students.

I am learning Japanese because I am fond of the Japanese culture and am planning on teaching there in the near future once I graduate. I am currently studying Elementary Education, and do know some Japanese. I've visited the country before and was inspired to better myself in the language. Beginner level. Need to learn Slovak in order to get my Slovakian citizenship! I have relatives in Bratislava and wonder if would be better for me to go there for six months and learn.
I would like to become proficient enough to be able to carry on a conversation in Slovak with relatives. Some don't speak English or are limited English.
