I lived one year in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I never studied the language, but I learned how to communicate while living there. I have no experience learning portuguese grammar, I feel that that would be the area that Im most interested in improving is grammar. Im most likely a beginner. I would like to dedicate about 5 hours a week to learining portuguese. Im very interested in keeping up the language for my personal interest and because I plan to live in Brazil after I finish college. I would like to prepare myself to be able to take on a profession in Brazil in the future.
Im looking for a teacher that will provide all their help in understanding portuguese grammar, someone that has a creative way in which to teach it in order to help keep me up to date with the everyday usage of the language and pronunciation . My main idea is to refresh my memory of portuguese and learn more of how to write it and how to fluently express myself, broadening my vocabulary.

My name is Rosetta and I am looking for a well trained, experienced teacher of Somali language offering courses in New York City during summer time: June through August 2008.
I would start with a High Elementary (or Low Intermediate) level and am particularly interested in developing grammar and conversation skills. I am interested in studying Somali for career advancement.
I plan to devote to the course about three hours per week. A course involving a small group of extremely devoted students would be ideal, but I'm also open to teacher-stude nt private lessons. The ideal teacher should be able to allow me to manage the spoken language and grammar knowledge at the elementary/in termediate level after three months.

French- I am a beginner in French. I'm currently in French 1 in school, since August. I am learning this language because I think it's a beautiful language, and I hope to go to France one day. I need improvements in most areas. I wish to spend at least 1 hour a day practicing, if possible.
German- I have no experience speaking this language. I have never taken a lesson in it. But I might be going on a exchange program to Germany, so I wish to learn it.
Spanis h- I don't know much Spanish. But where I live most people speak it, and I would like to be able to conversate with those people in spanish.
