I am a beginner level student wanting to learn japanese. I've already learned the hiragana through self study and am progressing onto the katakana and then kanji, studying the kanji that a japanese student would learn as they progress through school. I'm looking for a teacher who can help me with vocab, grammer, fluency, theory (as it applies to kanji), etc. and am willing to dedicate much time and effort. I would prefer a teacher that can infuse japanese culture, history, and philosophy into the lessons.

I am a Beginner. I have traveled to Japan and know a tiny bit of Japanese. I would like to people to speak and understand Japanese do that I am attend Kyoto City University of Arts and a research student. I would like to meet with a teacher a couple times a week for about and hour. I would like the class to be difficult but encouraging. Small group classes are ideal.

My proficiency in Japanese is between beginner and intermediate. I knew much more of the language when I was younger but have forgotten some of it due to lack of practice using it.
I really like the Japanese culture and love visiting Japan. I would like to be able to communicate more effectively.
I need assistance with grammar, conversation and would like to learn basic Kanji. I have a decent mastery of Hiragana.
I can devote probably 4 hours per week.
I have tried many courses, both software and in person and I have a hard time staying focues, especially with software. In person, I can feel pressured and then I don't learn well. I need to find someone who can spark and keep my interest going without making me feel intimated and nervous about speaking the language.
