I am a beginner. 3rd generation that never learned polish. Understand a few things, but don't speak, read or write. All of my friends speak it and I always wanted to and I feel that I could learn very quickly. I learned spanish in 2 years and can use it fairly fluently. I would like to take lessons once to twice per week (on my days off from work) and I would be dedicated. The family joke is that I only know my prayers and swear words, and even those sound sloppy and mis-pronounce d.

Some History on the country, What is proper and what is not proper, Reading streets signs, watching a Japanese movie without the english subtiles, Learning the currancy, Learning the proper language to have a conversation. ..and more!
I am looking for a KIND teacher that is willing to take as much time as I need to learn this language! I want a teacher that is able to give me some of there background
o n how they came to learn this language(weat her born in Japan or if they are selftaught)
I am looking to meet two or three times a week at a public place like a libary or book store!!

I am a beginner who has tried to teach myself, but I desire to make greater progress, which I know I will with a Japanese tutor.
I want to learn Japanese so I can go to Japan on an extended stay. I am highly motivated and eager to learn the language. I would put in at least 3 hours a week [including the tutoring session(s)].
