Our agency has been hired by a prominient family to find a highly motivated Mandarin Chinese speaking Tutor for their daughter (11 yrs old). Also, help with homework and instrument practice. Experience with playing the piano or violin a plus!
HOURS: Monday- Thursday 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm
PAY RATE: $40 per hour plus benefits (must be able to commit to the hours.
Position can be Live-Out or Live-In- the family prefers a Live-In person. The family would provide a cottage on the estate. This is a great opportunity for a reliable person who would like a place to live for free while pursuing other interests earlier in the day.

As with most US citizens, foreign languages have been sadly neglected in our schools, so those of us with an interest must find our own sources. I have studied French and Latin, in school, and Russian on my own. I understand far more than I speak, especially French. I speak Russian a little better. I am the grandmother of a little girl whose father is from Algeria. Although my daughter and son-in law speak French at home...my son-in-law is trying to introduce Kabyle. I would like to learn some basic skills in Arabic and Kabyle to reinforce my granddaughter 's training. I can dedicate one morning a week to beginning lessons. I am looking for a teacher with a great deal of patience, as I am 60 years old and my memory is not as sharp as it once was. It is very important to me to help my granddaughter remain a part of her Algerian heritage. I see this as my contribution to understanding in the world.
