I would like to learn Hebrew because it is my goal, once I have graduated school, to perhaps live in Israel for a year, or longer, depending on the situation. I am of Jewish background and personally think that it is one of the most beautiful languages. I would love to learn other languages like Russian, German, or Mandarin. But none of these touch my heart as much as Hebrew does. So this is why I want to learn Hebrew. The qualities I am looking for in a teacher are above all strictness. I don't want them to be afraid that they are pushing me too hard or they are giving me too much to learn. I like to study maybe an hour or so outside the time of our private lesson; ex; workbooks, excercises, assignments, etc...I want a teacher that loves what they do, and that enjoy seeing a student make progress. Above all, I want to be taken seriously as a student.

I used to be fluent in Arabic. Was born in Egypt. I stopped speaking Arabic in 1968. I am now very rusty. I understand a lot but cannot hold a conversation. I need to immerse myself back in the language and have it all come back.

I am interested in spending up to 5 hours per week learning how to speak French. I am 24 years old, and took French up until grade 9 of high school, so I have some basic skills, but I would consider myself a beginner. I wish to one day become fluent in French but do not have a lot of time to devote to learning right now. I am looking for a teacher who can start off slow, but allow me to progress enough that I might be able to hold a conversation in a couple of months!
