I am a beginner of Japanese and would like to learn the language for when I leave to teach English overseas in August/Septem ber 2008. I have a few friends who are also beginners and interested in learning Japanese. I would like to learn conversationa l japanese and would probably work best on a 2-3 hours a week schedule. I'm a beginner level student wanting to learn Farsi. It's for my own personal reasons as my mother speaks and it's also my grandmother's mother-tongue and I would like to communicate with other family members who do not speak in English or Gujurati. It's also because I find the language really beautiful and it's a part of my history.
I can dedicate one day a week during the summer (May - August inclusive) to come in a learn for a few hours.
I am looking for a teacher who deals more with the speaking than the writing, writing would be a secondary thing for me as the understanding , pronounciatio n and meaning of the language is more important.
