I have studied Mandarin for over a year, however have not had a class in 4-5months. My proficiency level was in the intermediate level, however I am sure it has deteriorated slightly since then.
I am learning mandarin so that when I graduate university I will have an edge over my fellow grad in getting a job, as well international business is a area of interest for me and I feel as if China represents a huge opportunity. In August I am also going to China for the Olympics and would like to brush up so that I am at least communicate on a basic level while I am there.
I would like a main focus of any lesson to be verbal understanding , ie, I feel one of my weaknesses is my ability to understand mandarin when it is spoken to me, other areas I am better at but would still like help.
Curr ently I would want to dedicate 1-2, 1-1.5 hour session per week, ideally a private lesson, but am open to a group setting.

I'm a complete beginner. I want to learn Japanese so that if I ever visit or move there, I can hold a conversation with somebody.
I want to dedicate however much time I need to learn the basics of Japanese, and eventually(an d maybe this is just wishful thinking) speak it as well as English. I'm not really looking for anything in particular from a teacher.

I do not know any German at this point but hope to learn enought to become fluent in speaking the language. I am interested in other cultures and languages and am very passionate about learning German. I am willing to put in alot of time and work practicing in between lessons and would hope to have a lesson about once a week or more depending on the teacher and teaching style. I want a teacher who is fluent in the language and has qualification s that would qualify them to truly be able to teach the language properly.

I am a beginner and would like to learn the language for a couple of reasons. First and foremost for business and advancement, plus the anticipated increase in dealings with China. Secondly out of genuine interest for the language. I would need to learn the language from scratch. Time is questionable, however would like some flexibility as I do have a full time job. I guess the qualities that I am seeking are patience, experience and someone who has experience with day to day conversation and business conversations .
