Teaching the Language Rationally My lessons with John are my first skype lessons ever, and he has made them a very pleasant and rewarding experience for me. I took French with him, and as an erudite professional in languages, he has been able to explain everything in terms that suit my knowledge and situation. For example, I am from a Southeast Asian background and have done a bit of Western ancient languages before; he is able to relate his explanations to Japanese and Latin, and at due length. He also gave me good resources, general and specific, to improve. While esoteric knowledge may make him seem cool and distant, he is in fact very friendly and humorous, and made the atmosphere of the lesson lively.
