Getting money

Kevin has questions about getting money at his destination.

K: Kevin   T: Travel agent

T: Good morning. What can I do for you?

K: I have planned to go for a travel these days. But there is still something that I am not clear.

T: Have your made any reservation for your travel? Like the destination, the transportation.

K: Yes, everything, like the passport, is fine. But I still have some questions about money.

T: So what are you worrying about? 

K: I am not sure whether I can withdraw some cash from my bank account while I am in Thailand.

T: You should be able to use your ATM card in Thailand, I think. But just in case, bring some cash with you.

K: Well, do I need to go to the bank to change for some currency?

T: No, I could help you change some currency at the airport.

K: Great. How much should I carry with me? 

T: If I were you, I would carry at least 300USD worth of Baht, the Thai currency.

K: How about my credit cards? Will they work in Thailand?

T: Yes, they should be fine.

K: Will there be additional fees if I use them in Thailand?

T: Undoubtedly. You will have to pay fees for using them oversees. 

K: Maybe I will just save them for emergencies then.

T: It is good advice.

K: I heard that there are thieves especially looking for visitors to rob money.

T: Yes, so be careful when taking out of your wallet so you do not become a target for pickpockets.

K: That’s a good idea.
