Chuikan's chinese class is full of tools from Media. Chinese films, newspaper and role-play activities are the highlights of the lessons.
S tudents who prefer an active class would be perfect to attend her class.
For beginners, she use "bit by bit" method. Students will learn Mandarin from scratch.
Please note that she usually start out by teaching in English so that the student can understand basic grammar and Chinese characters, building a sound foundation for further study.
Recommend ation on learning both Chinese characters and Pinyin (pronunciatio n). Anyhow it depends on the students whether they want to learn to read chinese characters.
With intermediate, communicative competence is the teaching and learning focus. Therefore, we'll have conversations in class about topics such as Chinese idioms and culture. |
