Teaching approach: |
For each individual, the way he or she feels most comfortable and motivated in language learning depends on his or her individual personality, his or her reason for learning the language, the time he or she has available for studying and many other factors besides. Experience in eight years of teaching has taught me that adjusting to the student's individuality is the key to unlocking his or her language learning potential. So, classes start when we begin to interact, as teacher and student. I hope to hear from you, if what you have read seems to match your own personal feelings about language learning. Let's see! |

I am always adapting myself to each case as everyone is unique and needs vary from one to another. I have a lots of patience and my lessons are for a duration of an hour. I always make sure there is a full comprehension and understanding before I am able to move to the next step. |

MY TEACHING APPROACH : We will talk only in French during the lesson. It might seem hard but I truly believe this is the fastest way to improve. After teaching both ways : using English to explain things VS using only French, I realised the second option was more efficient. F rom day one, you are in immersion and, sometimes without even noticing, ‘absorb’ the words and the way to pronounce them. However, clarification s can be added in English if need be. I build my lessons through a communicative approach maximising the use of the target language.
I teach all ages and levels of the European Framework (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) and I can help you with any French exams (GCSE, A-level, the DELF/DALF). |

I have a BSc in Psychology. During my undergraduate in BSc Psychology I learnt the way we develop and learn as children underpins our entire lifespan. We explored learning, memory, thinking and language, and the problems encountered by young people in education - things like learning difficulties and social or emotional problems. I studied the core areas of cognitive, social, psychobiology and developmental psychology.
I have taught French at all levels, businesspeopl e, high school, elementary and pre-school. I have taught at language colleges, schools, after school clubs and private tutoring. I have used different methods such as: the direct approach, the audiolingual, the communicative approach and more. I find the use of music and the method of movement to enforce memory particularly effective. I have also taught a year 5 subjects in English such as English, Maths, Science and Art.
All of these experiences and methods will be a great ressource in helping students to grasp th... |
