Personalized lessons with a super personable teacher! Celine is a great teacher for those who are just getting going. She stresses the importance of vocabulary, which, though time-consuming, is essential for moving ahead. Even when you totally mess up, she's patient and doesn't give you a hard time about it. The best part is that she writes up all of her lessons based on the student. I am primarily learning Cantonese in order to up my marketability in the medical profession (Cantonese is the 3rd most common language in the U.S. and is increasingly useful in the hospital setting), so she drilled me on learning body parts and other words that will come in handy when I start working. I think she writes up each worksheet herself every night, so if you struggle with something one day, you'll work on it some more the next. Overall, I'm really happy with my experience and would definitely recommend Celine to those who are keen to learn another language through intensive, one-on-one lessons. Oh- she can also recommend lots of great places to eat and will teach you a ton about Malaysian culture-- a definite plus if you are interested in staying in the country for a while. Highly recommended!

Interactive, fun and effective After a few classes with teacher Celine, I've learnt a lot, especially in speaking part. Although I'm still speaking broken sentences, but at least I can understand the simple sentences I heard and able to answer back. Besides, teacher Celine is a very patient teacher. The way she teach is soft but interesting. I love the way she teach and she will try her very best to make the explanation as easy in understanding as possible. I've known many Chinese words in a short time. A lot of encouragement from her as well. I really enjoyed my learning time with her.
